Thanks. Welcome to the new bdwg-dev at ecoinformatics.org mailing list. This list is intended for discussions of the standards development efforts of the Biological Data Working Group of the FGDC. You have been added to this list (current list members are gomon, peet, jones, huddleston, nicolson). Instructions for managing your list account can be found at: http://www.ecoinformatics.org/mailman/listinfo/bdwg-dev/ You can post to this list by sending an email to: bdwg-dev at ecoinformatics.org I have set up the project cvs server for us to start working on the standards documents. You can see the documents associated with this effort by accessing CVS on the web at: http://cvs.ecoinformatics.org/cvs/cvsweb.cgi/bdwg/ You can only download one file at a time from that site. If you want to download all of the files, or if you want to make changes to the files, you'll need to install a CVS client. This setup can be hard the first time, so please contact me to get help. Instructions are at: http://cvs.ecoinformatics.org/HOWTO-cvs-over-ssh.html Matt, Bob, and Paula have been given write access to this source repository. Paula -- can you contact me to get your account information? I can also give you some quick cvs pointers that you may find useful. Thanks. Talk to you soon! I'll take a look. You probably noticed that I set up the CVS server for us to share files that multiple of us are working on. Let me know if you have any questions about the new server -- and you can call me for your password when you need it to log in. If you have any trouble setting up a CVS client program, be sure to let me know. Matt Huddleston, Paula wrote: > Matt and Bob, > It was good to see you last week. If so, could you point me to where I can find it? I've been searching your site and haven't had much luck yet. I reverse engineered the format for our itisLib client library, but it would be good to be able to reference a schema for our future work. Sorry you couldn't make it to DC for the taxonomy nomenclature standards meeting -- it would have been good to have you there. I guess I'll see you in Kansas in November?
