When we did so, the new server no longer supports ssh protocol 1 -- you must use ssh protocol 2 when connecting. By default, TortoiseCVS uses ssh protocol 1, but can be reconfigured to use protocol 2. To reconfigure it, right click and open the CVS|Preferences dialog from the menu. In that dialog, click on the "SSH" tab, and on that tab change the ssh client to use to "TortoisePlinkSSH2". This is simply a batch file that is configured to use the "-2" option to TortoisePlink (the ssh program). That should do it -- things should work again for you.
